Partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital
The Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s is the primary care network of providers affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital—hence our name! In over 25 years, the PPOC has cultivated a close collaborative relationship with the premier children’s hospital in the United States. Our provider members benefit greatly from this partnership, consulting regularly with subspecialists at the forefront of their pediatric specialty and getting priority referrals to care. PPOC providers are given access to Clinical Advice Lines, which offer easy access to many departments in the hospital for direct consultation with a subspecialist on call. Our providers are also able to participate in digital eConsults with Boston Children’s providers. This connection affords our patients the care and convenience of a local community pediatrician plus access to Boston Children’s Hospital, which consistently ranks # 1 in the United States for pediatric care.
The PPOC, along with Boston Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Physicians’ Organization, is a member of the Department of Accountable Care and Clinical Integration (DACCI). We work together to provide integrated care for a population of patients within PPOC practices and at BCH.
